The mission of the Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity Committee is to ensure that WSGVAR maintains high standards to promote progressive diversity throughout the Association. As one of the chief responsibilities, the committee is empowered with the duties of developing and implementing strategies for minority recruitment and retention while furthering on a welcoming, positive, safe, and nourishing environment for the minority population of San Gabriel area. 

WSGVAR will actively:

• Acknowledge and properly deal with issues and concerns related to diversity issues.

• Implement policies for promoting diversity and equality and incorporate these procedures in all ventures.

• Rigorously study policies and procedures regarding diversity to measure their success.

• Thoroughly seek individuals to contribute to a diverse staff and provide skill-building opportunities.
